Illustrative GPON receive-power reference for class B+ optics: roughly -8 to -15 dBm is strong (verify no overload), -15 to -25 dBm is the typical working region, -25 to -27 dBm is low margin, and -27 to -30 dBm is near or below sensitivity. This is not a universal pass/fail chart - actual alarm thresholds depend on optics class, vendor and test direction.
